Becoming More - 2

Zim and Dib were sitting on Dib's couch, watching a show on cats, because nothing was on at 3:00. They wanted to see how late they could stay up.
"It's weird how people still don't know why cats or even how they purr. And the fact that cats purr." Dib pointed out.
"Ha, I don't think it's weird. I purr. I have an organ in my chest that makes me purr." Zim said.
"You purr?" Dib asked, completely shocked. "I've known you 6 years, and I never knew that!"
"Heh, silly human. I don't show you everything I can do. I know you still think about  cutting me open, so I kinda don't trust you." Zim smirked as he looked at Dib, he looked shocked and sad.
"What? I never want to cut you open Zim! Yes, I'm still curious, but never will i cut you open...you're my only friend. Why don't you trust me?" Dib said, he was completely hurt he looked like he was about to cry, not that was gonna.
Zim chuckled and said, "Geez Dib-Stink. I trust you. I was just...kinda joking. Don't cry over it, cutey pouty face." Zim crept closer to Dib, as he cupped his cheek. "Heh, now you have a cute face."
Dib didn't look at Zim, he still was hurt. Zim leaned back against the arm rest. He laid his legs out, so now they were in Dib's lap. "Here, I'll show you how I purr." Zim reached up to his antenna and started to rub it. He closed his eyes as a small smile formed on his face and a loud purr filled his throat.
Dib looked over at Zim and smiled, he looked so cute like that. "Heh, you really can purr." Dib crept closer, he wanted to hear it better. He was now close enough to hear it good enough. But Zim grabbed at Dib's shirt pulling him on top of him. Dib yelped from the pull but didn't fight. "Now you can hear it even better." Zim spoke, but the purring never stopped.
Dib smiled and blushed as he laid his head on Zim's chest. He has never laid on Zim, it was always the other way around, but it felt nice for the change. Dib turned his body until he was comfortable, and Zim wrapped his legs around Dib's.
"I thought this would be weird sounding...hearing you purr, but really, it makes sense. Cat purring has always reminded me of a space shuttle starting up, so no one an alien would sound like one." Dib closed his eyes as he listened, running a hand under Zim's shirt and he began to rub Zim's belly and chest. Zim didn't speak he just purred for a bit longer, maybe a couple of minutes until he spoke.
"Dib?"
"Hmm?" Dib hummed tiredly.
"Are you falling asleep?" Zim asked, petting the back of Dib's neck lightly.
"Yes...It's just so calming." Dib nuzzled his head into Zim's chest, and he rubbed Zim's side sweetly.
"I'm falling asleep too. I get like that when I touch my antennas..." Zim smiled as he spoke, and purred more. He never stopped rubbing his antenna.
"Wanna go up to my room?" Dib asked, looking up at Zim. Dib moved up closer to Zim's face, so he could lay his head on his shoulder. Dib nuzzled into Zim's neck.
"N-No... I like this." Zim rubbed his cheek on Dib's forehead. He stopping stroking his antenna so he could wrap his arms around his best friend and snuggle him more. Zim's purring didn't stop until a couple of minutes after he stopped rubbing his antenna. Dib pouted, sad that Zim stopped. So, he reached his hand up and stroked it himself, making Zim purr once again. After a while, they both started to fall asleep, so Dib stopped stroking Zim's antenna and his hand fell lazily on Zim's warm cheek. That one little stroke, made Zim leaned into the touch and moan, so Dib rubbed it a couple more times, before they both fell asleep in each others arms once again.
